AN OUTDOOR WORSHIP SERVICE is being planned for next Sunday,
August 28th
(weather permitting). During the
service there will be a farewell and Godspeed for Stephany Delawder and the
blessing of school bags.

90 DAYS OF VISITS: Pastor Megan is once again doing an
every-member visitation. Please
sign the sheet on the bulletin board in the narthex. Thank you!
ATTENTION ABIDING SAVIOR
MEN: Any man interested in joining a
men’s bible study group, please contact either Mike Linihan or Zach
Pemberton. We have not determined
time, dates or location yet. We
just would like to find out if there is an interest at this time. If the interest is strong enough we
would probably start after Labor Day.
“BRIDGES OUT OF POVERTY”, a
one-day workshop held Saturday,
September 17th, 9am to 3 pm at Christ United Methodist Church, will
introduce ideas to deal with poverty in our community. The $15 fee includes a textbook and
lunch. Registration deadline is
Tuesday, September 6th.
“UNITED BY THE SPIRIT”:
Canton-Massillon Cluster (NEOSWO of ELCA) Fall Fellowship
will be held on Monday,
September 19, 2011 at St. Luke Lutheran Community, 220 Applegrove St. NE,
North Canton. Registration begins
at 11:30 a.m. in the Crystal Room (2nd floor of the Waterford)
followed by a sit down luncheon ($8.00).
Devotions, a brief business meeting and program (“The History of the
Lutheran Women’s League) by Kristie Woods, Director of Community Relations,
will be held in the Chapel of St. Luke Lutheran Community. In-kind gifts (lap robes, lotion, cube style
boxes of tissues, and candy bars) will be collected for the residents. Reservations are due Sunday, Sept.4th. A sign up sheet is on the
bulletin board.
WELCA’S FALL GATHERING will
be held Saturday,
September 24th in the fellowship hall. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. Fellowship, a program and luncheon will
complete the morning.
WRAPPED BATH-SIZE BARS OF SOAP are
being collected of LWR. The
container is on the shelf in the narthex.
